JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Middle Tennessee fell to Jax State 9-2 on Saturday evening at Rudy Abbott Field.
The Gamecocks (18-30, 5-15 CUSA) struck first, plating a trio of runs in the opening frame. In the third inning, the Blue Raiders (18-32, 6-14 CUSA) got on the board after Luke Vinson scored off a Jax State error. JSU would go on to add a run in the fifth and five in the seventh. In the eighth inning, Gabe Jennings hit a solo shot to left field, however, the Gamecocks would go on to win 9-2.
