RUSTON, La. – Middle Tennessee fell to LA Tech 5-3 on Friday evening at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park.
The Blue Raiders (10-18, 2-5 CUSA) struck first in the second inning, plating a run on an infield single from Bryce Symlar. MTSU added another run in the fourth on an RBI groundout to the shortstop by Symlar.
In the fifth, Gabe Jennings gave the Blue Raiders a 3-0 lead after striping a double down the left field line, however, the Bulldogs (24-8, 5-2 CUSA) responded with a two-run home run to left field to narrow the MTSU lead to one and tied the game up at 3-3 after six innings.
