MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Baseball dropped the first game of the series to Binghamton 8-4 on Thursday evening at Reese Smith Jr Field.
Eston Snider roped a three-run home run in the third inning to give the Blue Raiders (10-13, 2-4 Conference USA) an early lead, scoring Grant Snider and Luke Vinson.
Trace Phillips bounced back on the mound going six innings strong. The two-way freshman gave up only two runs in the seventh which led to the change to left-handed pitcher Cole Torbett and then right-handed pitcher Kota Sato.
