BOCA RATON, Fla. – For the third straight day, the Blue Raiders (18-37, 11-19) gave the number one team everything they could handle, falling in a close one to FAU (37-18, 22-8) by a score of 8-7 in the season finale on Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Raiders once again used the long ball in the first inning, when Blake Benefield and Brycen Thomas went back-to-back to give MT a quick 2-0 lead. After Carter Bair set the Owls down in order in the bottom of the first, the Blue Raiders scored two more on an Aaron Antonini base hit to score JT Mabry and Nick Carnevale.
