NASHVILLE – Middle Tennessee dropped a 35-7 decision at Vanderbilt to open the 2018 campaign Saturday in Nashville.
The game was tied 7-7 after the first quarter and Vanderbilt carried a 14-7 cushion into the half, but the Blue Raiders were unable to find the end zone in the final two quarters as the Commodores used a 21-0 second half to pull away.
"Although I know we can make improvements and get better in areas, I feel better today than I did after this game a year ago," Middle Tennessee Head Football Coach Rick Stockstill said.
