MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee Soccer held the Liberty Flames in check for much of Thursday night at Dean. A Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium, but allowed a goal just over 10 minutes after halftime and could not mount an equalizer, falling 1-0 to its Conference USA foes.
Liberty struck in the 56' in what was MTSU's home CUSA opening fixture.
MTSU would muster eight total shots, five coming in the second half and three total coming on goal.
Faith Adje created the night's best chance for Middle Tennessee, taking a cross in the middle of the 18-yard box and putting the ball on target.
