NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee women's soccer team (3-4-0) completed its two-match road stretch with a 2-0 loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores (4-0-2) tonight in Nashville, Tenn. at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.
The Commodores made it difficult for the Blue Raiders to generate a positive result on the scoreboard, keeping a clean sheet by controlling the midfield and the time in possession.
The first scoring opportunity of the night went to the way of Vanderbilt with a shot by Caroline Betts, forcing an early save from Middle Tennessee goalkeeper Demi Gronauer.
The Commodores struck first with a goal in the 16th minute of the opening half with a goal from Rachel Deresky, coming off the assist from Betts.
