HOUSTON – It took 10 innings but Middle Tennessee baseball clinched the series over Rice with a 5-4 win Saturday.
The Blue Raiders (28-20, 16-10) set a new season high in hits (17)–their highest hit total since April 7, 2019 against Western Kentucky.
Despite not factoring into the decision, Trent Seibert allowed a run in the second inning but finished his outing with five scoreless innings vs. the Owls (13-38, 6-20). Seibert struck out four batters in 7.1 innings pitched.
JT Mabry extended his hitting streak to seven and started the Blue Raider scoring in the third on an RBI single, scoring Brian Dillingham to tie the score at one apiece.
