BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Middle Tennessee finished the first day of South Dakota State's Jackrabbit Invitational in third place at 581 (+5) Monday. After leading through one round, Middle Tennessee lost ground to Rutgers (577) and South Dakota State (578), which carded two of the three under-par team rounds of the day in the second round.
"We had a really good start, and I am proud of the team for hanging in tough all the way to the end," head coach Chris Adams said. "It's always a long and tough day to play 36 holes and stay mentally focused.
