Dallas, Texas – Middle Tennessee men's golf finished the first day of SMU's Trinity Forest Invitational in eighth place Monday, ending the round at 288 (+4) as a team. Sophomore Owen Stamper led the way individually at 71 (E), playing on the par-71, 7,330-yard course at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
Stamper recorded four birdies on the day, going 3-under over his final 11 holes of the round. He ended the round in a tie for 19th place, four strokes behind the leaders.
Michael Barnard and Nick Wolf each carded rounds of 72 (+1) and enter the second round tied for 33rd.
