MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Middle Tennessee men's basketball team earned its first postseason berth since the 2021-22 season following a campaign that saw the team compile a 22-11 record and a second-place finish in the Conference USA regular season. The Blue Raiders earned a No. 4 seed in the National Invitational Tournament and are set to host Chattanooga in Murfreesboro Tuesday.
The bid to the NIT marks the second postseason appearance in the Nick McDevitt era for Middle Tennessee and the first trip to the tournament since 2018, where MTSU went 1-1 in that postseason trip, defeating Vermont in the Murphy Center.
