MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — The Middle Tennessee volleyball team opened up conference play with their biggest rival on Saturday. The Blue Raiders had a couple close sets in the first and third, but ultimately fell in three.
The Blue Raiders (11-4, 0-1 C-USA) fell to the #24 WKU Hilltoppers (14-2, 1-0 C-USA), with set scores of 23-25, 18-25, and 23-25. In both the first and third set of the match, MTSU held leads of 18-14.
Freshman led the Blue Raiders in points with 10.5. Rhoda had seven kills, two aces, and three block assists. Senior was crucial at many points throughout the match, racking up a team-leading 14 digs and four total blocks to go along with seven kills.
