DECATUR, Ga. – Middle Tennessee Baseball was within a pair of the Georgia State Panthers for much of Tuesday's road matchup at GSU Baseball Complex. However, an unearned run surrendered in the eighth gave the Panthers separation that they held onto, as the Blue Raiders fell 5-2.
The loss snaps a six-game winning streak MTSU carried into the non-conference matchup.
Georgia State scored first in the bottom of the second, but the Raiders responded in the top of the fourth with a Jackson Galloway two-out, opposite-field RBI single.
After the Panthers made it 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, MTSU tied the contest again on a JT Mabry RBI double.
