DENTON, Texas – Middle Tennessee softball (33-17, 12-10 C-USA) lost game two at North Texas (32-20, 16-7) 4-1 at Lovelace Stadium today.
The Blue Raiders got their offense rolling earlier in the game today with a walk by Ava Tepe in the first inning and a base-hit in the second from Shelby Sargent. However, North Texas scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the second. Starting pitcher McKenzie Wagoner hit a solo homerun to help herself in the circle and lead to the series clinching win. The Mean Green hit two home runs today which proved to be the difference in the game as the Blue Raiders outhit North Texas four hits to three.
