MIAMI, Fla. – Middle Tennessee Softball (17-22, 4-7 C-USA) struggled to get the bats going on Saturday as the Blue Raiders dropped game two of their series against FIU (16-21, 2-9 C-USA) 6-2 at Felsberg Field at FIU Softball Stadium.
FIU's Ross opened the game with a leadoff single, before stealing second to get into scoring position. The Panthers put two on after a walk, but then connected on a fielder's choice and Ross eventually scored on a Blue Raider error to take the opening 1-0 lead.
In the second, the Panthers drew a leadoff walk before back-to-back singles from Garcia and Ross loaded the bases.
