MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee baseball got behind early and never recovered on Tuesday night, giving up 11 runs to Lipscomb in the game's first five frames before falling 11-1 in seven innings at Reese Smith Jr. Field.
The Blue Raiders (17-18) did not score until the sixth inning, when a Luke Vinson double turned into the team's only run of the night after a wild pitch and an RBI-groundout by Eston Snider. The Bisons (19-17) had already managed to put up crooked numbers in each of the prior frames, with MTSU's first scoreless inning on the mound coming in the top of the sixth.
