STARKVILLE, Miss. - Middle Tennessee Softball lost in the first of two games with Stephen F. Austin on Friday by a score of 7-1. The game was the final contest for both teams in the round-robin phase of the Bulldog Kickoff Classic.
Claire Smith pushed MT out to an early lead in the second inning. After hitting a two-out single, Smith stole second and advanced to third on a passed ball. When the catcher attempted to pick her off of third base, the throw sailed wide and Smith came home and gave the Blue Raiders a 1-0 advantage.
