MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Middle Tennessee football led from wire to wire on Saturday afternoon, scoring on every single first half drive and turning over FIU four times, as the Blue Raiders won 50-3 in the C-USA contest at Floyd Stadium.
Freshman Nick Vattiato shined in his second career start at quarterback, completing 20-of-24 passes for 147 yards and two touchdowns. Martell Pettaway led the Blue Raiders on the ground with 11 carries for 95 yards, including a 57-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Jimmy Marshall led all MT receivers with four catches for 51 yards and a touchdown.
