Murfreesboro, Tenn.—The ball was flying around the yard at Reese Smith Field Sunday afternoon. Both teams combined for a total of 11 extra-base hits, six of which were home runs. Four of those home runs belonged to Middle Tennessee. Despite the surge in power for the Blue Raiders, it wasn't enough to win the rubber match against Louisiana Tech as they fell by a score of 10-5.
"I think with the warmer weather and the wind blowing out we knew it'd be a game where if you hit the ball in the air it was going (out of the park) today because we hit a bunch (of home runs) in batting practice," said MTSU Head Coach Jim Toman.
