Blue Raiders challenging for lead at UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Middle Tennessee stands tied for second place on a weather-shortened first day at the UAB Spring Invitational, currently 23-over par with seven holes remaining in round two.

The Blue Raiders turned in an 11-over par 299 in the opening round and were just one stroke back of tournament host and leader UAB, and will return to action two strokes back of the Blazers.

"We just tried to hang tough today after the delay and keep ourselves in a spot where we can contend tomorrow," Head Coach Chris Adams said.
