DALLAS – Middle Tennessee Baseball held the lead through most of the opening four innings against the No. 16 Dallas Baptist Patriots, but surrendered a seven-run fourth at Horner Ballpark and would fall 16-5 in the Conference USA series opener.
The Blue Raiders sit at 22-22 and 11-11 in C-USA after the loss.
MTSU struck first, when JT Mabry hit a solo home run in the top of the first and the game's second at bat. RHP Patrick Johnson got through the first three innings with no runs allowed and faced just 10 batters across that stretch.
