The Kia of Murfreesboro Game of the Week lived up to its billing Tuesday as the Blackman Lady Blaze stayed on their hot streak, defeating the Lady Bulldogs of Smyrna 54-52.
The Blaze were down as many as 12 points early in the fourth quarter, and had never led in the game. From there, however, they went on a 17-3 run to close out the game, with Jaleah Goff hitting the go-ahead shot with 11 seconds left to put her team up 54-52. The lead held as as Smyrna missed four free throws in the final seconds.
"Coach J (Jessica Jackson) called timeout and drew something up, but they went to zone and it didn't work," said Goff.
