The top two boys teams in District 7-AAA faced off at Blackman Tuesday night, and it Blackman (22-0, 9-0) who emerged with a 52-39 victory to remain unbeaten.
The No. 2 Blaze improved to 22-0 overall and 9-0 in district play, while Oakland fell to 18-3 and 7-2. Blackman will clinch the regular-season championship with one ore win.
"We knew we were one win away," Blackman head coach Barry Wortman said. "This gives us a two-game lead and for it to be over Oakland, we are real pleased with the win. They are a tough, tough team.
