NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Kareem Canty tied a career-high with 28 points on 8-of-13 3s and Cinmeon Bowers added 19 points and a career-high 19 rebounds as Auburn lost to Middle Tennessee 88-81 in overtime at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday.
The Tigers trailed 67-61 as Canty made four-straight 3-pointers to end regulation as his eighth trey of the game tied it with 1.7 seconds left in regulation at 73.
The Tigers outscored the Blue Raiders 12-6 to end regulation. Bowers gave the Tigers the lead to open overtime but Middle Tennessee pulled away in the final minute.
Tyler Harris, who had his third double-double of the season with 14 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, was one rebound shy of a first half double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds as his tip-in at the buzzer gave Auburn its largest lead at 38-29.
