MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – On the heels of the most explosive games in Conference USA this season, Anastasia Hayes has been named College Sports Madness National High-Major Player of the Week.
Hayes turned in her third career double-double with a career-high 34 points and 11 rebounds to lead Middle Tennessee to a 108-103 double-overtime win against rival WKU Saturday. Hayes just missed a triple-double for the second straight game, finishing with eight assists.
The 37 points are the second-most in a single game in Conference USA this season and the most against a league foe.
