PHILADELPHIA, Pa./Memphis, Tenn. – With the Middle Tennessee track & field teams at two different meets Saturday, the Blue Raiders battle two different weather conditions to complete the final events at the Penn Relays and the Memphis Invitational.
At the historic Penn Relays, John Ampomah became the first back-to-back champion for the Blue Raiders, winning the javelin with a throw of season-best 77.81 meters (255-3). Ampomah earned his NCAA fourth-best distance on his third attempt.
Also competing in the field events for the Blue Raiders were Jacob Patten, Vincent Okot and Phillip Smith.
