MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (October 4, 2019) – The No. 23-ranked West Virginia University men’s soccer team capped its two-match homestand with a 4-1 loss to No. 25 San Diego on Friday night at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium.

In the first-ever meeting between the two schools, the Mountaineers received a goal from sophomore Tony Pineda in the 80th minute but couldn’t draw any closer. With the loss, WVU fell to 6-3-1 on the season.
