DEKALB, Ill. – Redshirt-Senior Courtney Woods (Brisbane, Australia/St. Margaret's) has been named to the watch list for the 2020 Cheryl Miller Award, announced on Wednesday by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
The award, named after three-time Naismith Player of the Year and Class of 1995 Hall of Famer Cheryl Miller, recognizes the top small forwards in NCAA Division I women's college basketball.
Woods averaged 20.1 points per game in seven games last season before a season-ending injury cut her year short. She was named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week twice last season.
