AUSTIN, Texas – Western Michigan redshirt junior outfielder Dylan Nevar has been voted to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Second Team. Nevar is the first WMU baseball player to receive Academic All-American accolades since a trio of Broncos earned Academic All-America status in 1995.

An Electrical Engineering major with a 3.91 GPA, Nevar was an All-MAC Second Team honoree after hitting .353, the eighth-highest mark in the conference, and pacing the league with a new WMU single-season record 71 RBIs. The redshirt junior blasted a team-high 16 home runs, tied for seventh in the conference, and was also among the MAC leaders in runs scored (57, 6th), slugging percentage (.
