WMU's Bowie Garners First Team Academic All-America Honors

AUSTIN, Texas - The 2018 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American Division I Men's Soccer Soccer Teams were released Thursday, Dec. 6, with Western Michigan men's soccer's Anthony Bowie earning First Team recognition.

A junior forward from Grand Rapids, Mich., Bowie boasts a 4.00 GPA, majoring in Sales & Business Marketing at Western Michigan. He becomes the first ever Bronco to be named a First Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA, and the sixth Academic All-American at WMU in the past two seasons.

"I am very proud of Anthony," said head coach Chad Wiseman, who has generated all six Academic All-America honors in his sixth season at WMU.
