Western Michigan's Franklin Named to 2017 Walter Camp Award Watch List

WESTERN MICHIGAN'S JARVION FRANKLIN NAMED TO 2017 WALTER CAMP AWARD WATCH LIST

New Haven, Conn. – The Walter Camp Football Foundation has announced the names of forty “players to watch” for its 2017 Player of the Year award, the nation’s fourth-oldest individual college football accolade. Representing the MAC is Western Michigan senior running back Jarvion Franklin.

Franklin, 6-0 and 225 lbs., carried 241 times for 1,300 yards last season, the seventh-highest single-season total in Western Michigan history. He added 12 rushing touchdowns, the ninth most in a single season at Western Michigan. Frankiln rushed for school single-game record 281 yards at Akron (10/15) and became the all-time leader at Western Michigan in rushing touchdowns with 41.
