KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After winning the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Tournament Championship, the Western Michigan men’s tennis team awaited its fate in the NCAA Tournament Tuesday night.
The Broncos, who were in one of the last regions announced, drew No. 15 seeded Illinois for a match on Friday, May 13 in Champaign, Ill. Other teams in the region included Memphis and Mississippi State.
“It’s going to be a great opportunity for our guys to play one of the premier teams in the Big Ten and in the nation,” WMU head coach Dave Morin said. “We’re taking a lot of momentum into the NCAA Tournament and we’ve had different guys step up for us all year.
