Junior Caleb Covell had a strong start to the 2018 campaign on Friday night as he was able to collect a victory in the Bulls first event of the season at the Toledo Opener. Covell led a field full of MAC teams as he collected the victory in the 6k race in a career-best time of 18:33.00.

Athena Welsh kicked off the 2018 cross country season with a first-place finish with a time of 14:21.
