Sure, there may be snow blanketing The Mitten State, but it’s still a beautiful day for the Central Michigan Chippewas on Monday, and not just because they are soaking up the sun and sand in south Florida. The reason for the season in Mt. Pleasant is the Chips’ opportunity to hang a post-season win on their resume as they take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane in Monday’s Miami Beach Bowl in Marlins Park.
For the Chips, it’s an opportunity to end 2016 on a high note, much the way 2016 started. The back half of the season was quite unkind to CMU and saw the Chips lose four of their last five to moonwalk to 6-6.
