Currie became the ninth player in program history to record a hat trick in the Rockets' 4-0 win over Detroit Mercy, and just the second player in the last six years. Currie took control of the game in the 59th minute, grabbing a loose ball at the top of the 18 and burying it into the back of the net to open up the Rockets' scoring floodgates. Currie added another one just 11 minutes later when she took a long shot from outside of the box and put it into the upper 90.
