BANGOR, Maine – Toledo (0-1) suffered a 73-59 setback at Maine in Saturday's season opener in the Cross Insurance Center.
The Black Bears (1-0) buried 13 three-point field goals and had four players with in double figures to snap UT's two-game winning streak in season openers.
Senior Kaayla McIntyre led the Rockets with a game-high 24 points and seven rebounds. The 2017-18 third-team All-MAC honoree knocked down 11-of-20 shots from the field, the eighth time she has scored at least 20 points as a collegiate.
Sophomore Tanaya Beacham and senior Sarah St-Fort were UT's next high scorers with nine and six points, respectively.
