DALLAS -- Toledo's Maxen Hook, Akron's CJ Nunnally IV and Miami's Matt Salopek were selected to the 2024 Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List today, as announced by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA). The Bronko Nagurski Trophy is given annually to the top defensive player of the year.
Nunnally earned First-Team All-Mid-American Conference accolades a season ago after playing in all 12 games for the Zips. Nunnally finished regular season play ranked second in the MAC in tackles for loss (15.5) for a total of 69 yards of loss, posting 10.5 TFL in league play.
