The Mid-American Conference has announced that the 8-man crew sent to the Oklahoma State vs. Central Michigan football game on Saturday will serve a 2-week suspension, effective immediately.
Via the MAC’s press release at 3 p.m. today, Coordinator of Football Officials Bill Carollo justified this move "After a thorough review and evaluation of the entire Central Michigan at Oklahoma State contest, we have decided to suspend the officiating crew for the next two consecutive weeks. I have personally informed the crew of our decision."
Before the famous untimed down [where Cooper Rush threw a deep pass to Jesse Kroll who then lateraled it back to Corey Willis for the game-winning touchdown], the refs should have stopped the game.
