Karoline Stormo’s record-setting second round allowed her to capture medalist honors while lead #10 Kent State to its 21st Mid-American Conference Women’s Golf championship in a row. Stormo shot a 65 (-7) during the second round to beat the previous 18-hole championship record by 2 strokes. Her 211 (-5) is tied for the second-lowest 54-hole score in championship history. The victory did not come without adversity, as rainy conditions during Friday’s opening round assisted Toledo in holding a 2-stroke lead after the first 18 holes.
