Stambolich's Golden Goal Lifts No. 4 Kent State to Quarterfinal Win

KENT, Ohio -- A golden goal in the 99th minute from Siena Stambolich lifted fourth-seeded Kent State to a 2-1 quarterfinal victory over fifth-seeded Miami on Sunday afternoon.

Alisa Arthur scored her 10th goal of the season to get the Golden Flashes on the board in second minute of the match. Miami responded and tied the game at 1 just before halftime thanks to a Makenna Morrison goal.

The Golden Flashes will now face No. 1 Western Michigan on Thursday, Nov. 7 at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
