All week long people pointed to this game as the potential game where something weird could happen. It wasn’t completely crazy. OSU had questions, Bowling Green had talent, and in-state rivalries and the ins and outs of how they play out are anyone’s guess. Urban Meyer and JT Barrett took all the guess work out of this one early, and went on to roll the Falcons 77-10 behind a dominating performance.
For a team with questions, OSU seemed to have a lot of answers. Behind 776 yards of total offense, and a defense that held BG to 244 and forced three turnovers, the possibility for an upset, one that looked so promising after an OSU opening drive interception returned for a TD, was promptly snuffed out.
