AVON, Ohio – No. 6 seed Ohio jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning and cruised with a dominating performance by starter Kenny Ogg for a 7-3 final over No. 3 seed Kent State on Wednesday afternoon at Sprenger Stadium.

Ohio jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning capped by Tanner Piechnick’s three-run homer over the left field wall.
