LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Ohio softball team (42-18) concluded the 2017 season on Thursday, falling to Liberty (41-23) in the National Invitational Softball Championships Region Six Championship series. The Bobcats’ outlasted the Flames in a thrilling 1-0 victory in 12 innings to force a winner-take-all game. However, Ohio would be unable to outlast Liberty in the final game, falling 4-3.
The season concluded one of the most successful in program history, where they finished the season with 42 wins, the most wins in a season.
