MADISON, Wis. - University of Akron seniors Marc Migliozzi (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Mackenzie Andrews (Toowoomba, Australia) headlined the efforts of the Akron men's and women's cross country teams at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional hosted by the University of Wisconsin on Friday, Nov. 15, at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.
The Zips posted eighth- and 14th-place team finishes in the men's and women's fields, respectively. The men's eighth-place effort is the second-best in program history, behind only a seventh-place finish in 2015, while Akron's 14th-place team effort in the women's race marked the Zips' top finish at the regional since placing eighth in 2008.
