Day 1 Results

AKRON, Ohio - With five events complete on both the men and women's side, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois respectively stand on top of the 2020 Mid-American Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship leader board.

Akron’s Sara Foster defended home turf to win the women’s pentathlon. The sophomore collected 3,645 points across five-events becoming the ninth Zip to earn gold in the event. Ball State's Karlie Zumbro took second with 3,577 points and Miami’s Sarah Bruns finished third with 3,538 points.

The first title of the day went to Eastern Michigan’s Baboucar Sallah-Mohammed in the men's long jump.
