MAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week NIU junior forward Nick Markanich scored two goals and recorded an assist in just 45 minutes of action as the Huskies beat Chicago State, 10-0, in their lone game of the week. Markanich netted his first goal from the penalty spot in the 34th minute and added a second goal two minutes before halftime. He also recorded an assist on a goal by his brother, Anthony, in the 37th minute. NIU’s 10 goals against the Cougars are tied for the fourth-most in program history and the most in a game since the 1987 season.
