MID-AMERICAN CONFERENCE DONATES $50,000 TO THE BAHAMAS RED CROSS PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Mid-American Conference Commissioner Dr. Jon Steinbrecher presented a check for $50,000 to the Bahamas Red Cross to assist with disaster relief efforts in the recent wake of Hurricane Matthew. Steinbrecher, representing the entire 12-member MAC membership, joined Atlantis President & Managing Director, Howard Karawan, to personally present the donation to Bahamas Red Cross President, Craig Tony Gomez. “I, along with our membership, have come to develop a deep love for the people of The Bahamas and for the fine staff at Atlantis, Paradise Island,” said Steinbrecher.
