The University of Akron cross country team turned in strong individual performances to highlight the efforts of the Zips at Falcon Invitational hosted by Bowling Green on Friday (Oct. 18). Sophomore Titus Kirui crossed the line first in the men's 8K race in a time of 25:29.4. Titus Kirui (25:29.6-9th), and Emil Stanford (26:04.9-22nd) were the next two runners to finish the race for the Zips. Taye Gonzalez (26:27.4-28th) and Justin Zapotoczny (27:00.4-45th) rounded out the field. Sophomore Mary Munga led the Zips in the women's 6K race with a time of 20:48.
