The Flashes (19-19, 7-6 MAC) flexed their muscles in Wednesday’s game against Canisius as they hung six runs in the eighth inning en route to their third consecutive victory. Kent State quickly took a 4-0 lead after three innings thanks to a second inning home run by Pavin Parks and a three-run third inning powered by a two-RBI double from Michael Turner and a RBI-double from Parks. Canisius picked up an unearned run in the top of the eighth inning, but KSU was opportunistic in the bottom of the inning with six unearned runs of their own.
Parks and Ben Carew supplied the offense with two hits, two RBIs, and two runs scored each as the former also had a walk.
