CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2016 Women's Soccer Academic All-MAC team Thursday. A total of 124 student-athletes were named to the team.
Central Michigan led the team with 15 student-athletes, while Western Michigan tallied 13.
Ball State's Alyssa Heintschel, Bowling Green's Alexa Cheripko, Buffalo’s Nicole Gerritz, and Andrea Niper, CMU’s Christen Chiesa, Eastern Michigan's Mia Colavito, Kent State's Karli Paracca, Miami's Jenn Rowe, NIU's Amy Annala, Ohio’s Rianna Reese, WMU's Alex Ruffer and Alexis Shamoun recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics.
